How to create an invoice on Shopify
Shopify doesn’t include a built-in invoice generator, but you can use an app, export order details, or create a separate invoice (e.g., for B2B or custom orders) and send it yourself.
Options: (1) Use a Shopify app from the App Store that generates invoices from orders. (2) Use our invoice generator or a free invoice template: enter the order details, client, and line items, then download as PDF and send to the customer. (3) For simple proof of sale, use the order confirmation or packing slip; for a formal invoice with payment terms, use a dedicated invoice template.
